the hot button issue at the moment is "Care Bars Grow, but logs don't show"...this had already happened at least once before without any lasting harm - newly input coding short-circuited the ledger function, but the information is being stored and will reappear where it is supposed to be, hopefully soon. you can check current foodollar and gem totals on your "Shop" page, as far as we know they are showing there correctly.
NOTE - as of Friday evening EST, ledgers were corrected - it took a couple of tries last time to permanently correct the problem, but it should be okay.
In a more ominous development, as of early Saturday morning, the servers at m.foopets - and more rarely, the main www site - were inaccessible...having tried from other profiles, we can report that occasionally it will load normally, and/or be accessible by altering the browser code - and if the "can't go there" message comes up, check to see if a space has been added in the member number, and remove it before trying again. this has worked as well.
contrary to what the poor benighted ambassadors were told (foo seems to inform them as reluctantly as they do us) and passed along, poop scooping has indeed been added to the InstaCare feature for paying customers, though if my math is correct, those using it are getting skinned for twenty-odd points or so...i.e. a TOTAL of 25, rather than the 48 to 53 points/gems you would get otherwise, depending on whether or not the pet made a catch. (we'll look into that and update you). That gives us two ways to deal with our newest "surprise" - for a fee - subscribe to ClubFoo and use the InstaCare - at the price of the at least limited interaction we get with our pets on m.foo, as well as the price of admission to the Club - or pony up 100 gems, or a foodollar, daily per pet to have cleanup services.
"every little movement has a meaning"...with regard to the offscreen lawn biscuits we mentioned before, it would appear that we now have dancing doggie doodles - each time you enter the scene, they're in a different place. still have to throw the pup a toy to get at them half the time, though.
New Scene creation seems to be working, at least the last time i tried it - and the Decorator seems to be a LITTLE more cooperative. still a game of Russian Roulette to touch older scenes to add or edit - if you open it and everything's scattered, close it with no changes, and at least your original scene will remain intact.
Lainee, one of our most popular ambassadors, has resigned her post...no, she isn't leaving foo, but finally found the task so demanding that she didn't have the time she wanted to devote to her own pets anymore. thank you, Lainee, for your devoted service to us members, your cheerfulness and humor, and common sense. we'll look for you back among the ranks of "normal" foofolk, and wish you all the best!
FooPetter delivery seems sporadic this week - some accounts receiving it and others not, or at least not yet. in our experience it normally comes out Thursday night - some folks got theirs this (Friday) morning, others not at all. somebody fire the paperboy, lol.
Anyone else having trouble with the FooLette wheel sticking and refusing to close? it's a minor headache, certainly, as refreshing the page cures it, but just one more delay before you can get at the patiently waiting pet. we thought at first it was an artifact of our own hard or software (still may be, come to that) when it happened yesterday, but as it is persisting we thought we'd throw it on the table for feedback.
UPDATES - keep an eye wherever possible on the "ownerless" Legacy Pokeys still onsite (as opposed to their foosheltered no-longer-pokey cousins) - up until recently, they were never visited by Samaritans no matter HOW long they'd gone uncared for...the Sams were offline for a while recently, which heralds a change in their programming, and now these dogs are getting Sam visits if they go over 48 hours (maybe even less). Feedback and speculation invited. oddly enough, most of the first-day-adopts from 12/26/08 when foopets was inaugurated were either never deleted or have been returned - and untended owned pets from that period are NOT receiving Sams visits, at least not that SistersKittens saw on a recent link-searching expedition. hmmm...
